I carve to create beauty -to satisfy both my love of the physical and my strong desire to create. Sculpting allows me to work closely with the natural world and connect with the quiet truth that lives beneath the noise of daily life.
For years, I resisted the feminine. I was a tomboy, always high on adrenaline - moving countries, teaching, training professional sports teams, and filling every spare moment with study or physical training. When my body finally insisted I slow down, I found myself with stone and the stone became the vessel I needed - not only to heal, but to express myself fully.
My sculptures often become mirrors - not only of my own unfolding, but of something deeper that resonates with many of us: a reminder of strength, presence, and connection to the Earth. Over time, I’ve come to see that the ‘feminine’ I once resisted is not weak or fragile, but grounded and enduring - like the natural world itself: resilient, powerful, and perfect in its imperfections.
Influenced by nature and the poetry of form, I am drawn to the flow of curves and silhouettes that evoke calm and introspection. I often choose raw boulders and carve to find the softness within, leaving aspects of the stone raw to show its journey - its resilience, its cracks, all mirroring my own path.
Each piece I create is unique and hand-carved using both electric and traditional tools, rarely guided by measurement, but instead by a natural rhythm and connection to the stone.
This work is my offering. It’s where I pour the parts of myself I once struggled to express: my love of beauty, my need for silence, my love for the Earth, and my longing for belonging. I feel blessed to have found this path.
